Panelists Ronald Suny, Eric Bogosian, Nancy Kricorian, Maureen Freely, Peter Balakian, Ragip Zarakolu, and Robert Jay Lifton discussed the Armenian artists and writers who were killed at the beginning of the Armenian Genocide. The panelists read poetry, fiction and memoir from the eighty-two writers who were killed. Turkish authors, Freely and Zarakolu, also expressed their views, which were both critical of Turkey. Overall, the mood was positive, and concluded with the recognition that things had moved forward for the acknowledgement of the genocide. The panel ran 90 minutes.

Sponsored by the Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee of America.
