In and Out of Africa

The Guardian

Moderated by Rich Blint and Philip Gourevitch, In and Out of Africa, featured ten writers who touched on the following debates: the role of storytelling in and around the continent; how politics, histories, and poetics are tied; and where younger generations and future writers are situated in this construction (or deconstruction).

Co-presented with Harlem Stage, the Columbia University School of the Arts Office of Community Outreach and Education, the Institute for Research in African-American Studies at Columbia University, and NYU Africa House.

Sponsored, in part, by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and NYU Africa House.
