Fernanda Trías

Fernanda Trías was born in Uruguay and is the author of four novels and a short story collection. Pink Slime (Scribner, tr. by Heather Cleary) was longlisted for the National Book Award and received the National Uruguayan Literature Prize, the Critics’ Choice Award Bartolomé Hidalgo, and Mexico’s International Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize. Both The Rooftop (Charco Press, tr. by Annie McDermott) and Pink Slime received the British PEN Translates Award. Her work has been translated into more than fifteen languages. Her latest novel, The Mountain Woman, has been acquired by Scribner. She currently lives in Bogotá, Colombia, where she teaches at the creative writing MFA program of Instituto Caro y Cuervo.
