Gabriela Cabezón Cámara (b. 1968) is an Argentine writer who has worked at varied jobs, from selling car insurance in the street to cultural journalism. She is the author of the novels Slum Virgin, Romance of the Blonde Brunette, and The Adventures of China Iron, which was shortlisted for the International Booker and Médicis prizes. We Are Green and Trembling won the 2024 Sor Juan Prize in Mexico, the 2024 Premio Ciutat de Barcelona in Spain and the 2024 FILBA Medifé Prize in Argentina. She is an environmental activist and a co-founder of the feminist movement Ni una menos. Her work has been translated into fifteen languages.
