Cece Bell

Cece Bell is the author and illustrator of the autobiographical graphic novel, El Deafo, which chronicles her childhood experiences with hearing loss. It received a Newbery Medal, an Eisner Award, and a Cybils Award and was adapted as a three-episode series for Apple TV+. Other titles include Bee-Wigged and I Yam a Donkey!, along with beloved character-based series, including the Rabbit and Robot books and the Chick and Brain books. She illustrated the Inspector Flytrap chapter books written by her husband, Tom Angleberger, and her latest book, Animal Albums from A to Z, features Cece’s “goofy, deeply affectionate, no-detail-left-behind creativity” (Publishers Weekly). Cece works in both digital and classic media to create her distinctive art.
