Marcia Douglas

Marcia Douglas was born in the UK and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She works across fiction, poetry, and essays. She is the recipient of awards and fellowships from Creative Capital, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Whiting Foundation. Her publications include The Jamaica Kollection of the Shante Dream Arkive: being dreamity, algoriddims, chants & riffs, The Marvellous Equations of the Dread: a novel in bass riddim, Notes from a Writer’s Book of Cures and Spells and Madam Fate. She is a College Professor of Distinction at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
