Nancy Naomi Carlson is a translator who won the 2022 Oxford Weidenfeld Translation Prize and was decorated by the French government with the Academic Palms. She serves as the translations editor for On the Seawall and the co-translations editor for Pleiades. The author of 17 titles, her poems and translations have been reviewed in The New York Times. She recently translated Sylvie Kandé’s Gestuary (Seagull Books, 2026).
