Sam Sussman

Sam Sussman is the author of the debut novel Boy From the North Country, a three-time USA Today national bestseller and finalist for the National Jewish Book Award in Fiction. Boy From the North Country was hailed by Kirkus as “the most beautiful and moving mother-son story in recent memory.” Sussman has written for Harper’s, The Washington Post, and has been profiled in The New York Times. He holds a BA from Swarthmore College and an M.Phil from Oxford. Sussman has lived in Berlin and Jerusalem and taught writing in England, India, and Peru. He lives in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan and his native Hudson Valley.
