Brooklyn writer Isaac Fitzgerald has always had an affinity for tattoos. His first children’s book, How to Be a Pirate, celebrates body art through storytelling with the same fun and verve as his nonfiction for adults–and even his cookbook! A grandpa takes a little girl through the journey of each of his tattoos, and each adventure reminds readers of the power of believing in yourself. In addition to the reading and book signing, kids will have the chance to draw their own inspiring tattoos.
