Biography

Dubravka Ugrešić is the author of many critically acclaimed works, including The Museum of Unconditional Surrender, Baba Yaga Laid an Egg, Europe in Sepia, and Karaoke Culture, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. Ugrešić left Croatia in 1993 after being labeled a “traitor” for her anti-nationalistic politics. She currently lives in Amsterdam. In 2016, she was awarded the Neustadt International Prize for Literature for her body of work.
