Elif Batuman


Elif Batuman’s first novel, The Idiot, was a finalist for a 2018 Pulitzer Prize. She is also the author of The Possessed, a book of comic essays about Russian literature. Since 2010, she has been a staff writer at The New Yorker, where she has written about subjects ranging from Turkish village women’s theater to Japanese rental relatives.
