Biography
James Hannaham is the author of the books PILOT IMPOSTER, GOD SAYS NO, and DELICIOUS FOODS, which won the PEN/Faulkner and Hurston/Wright Legacy Awards for Fiction. Both DELICIOUS FOODS and his latest novel, DIDN’T NOBODY GIVE A SHIT WHAT HAPPENED TO CARLOTTA, were New York TimesNotable Books and finalists for the LA Times Book Prize, among other accolades. His visual art has been shown at Open Source Gallery, Main Street Arts, and DC Moore Gallery. He received a 2023 Guggenheim fellowship. He lives in Brooklyn, where he teaches at the Pratt Institute.
