Marianna Kiyanovska

Biography

Born in 1973, Marianna Kiyanovska is a Ukrainian writer, translator, literary researcher, and public figure. A graduate of Lviv National University, she is the author of poetry books, storybooks, and several books of translations of poetry and prose. She is also represented in numerous translated anthologies. A winner of the Vilenica Literary Festival and CEI Fellowship in 2007, Kiyanovska has been translated into English, German, Italian, Swedish, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Belorussian, Russian, and Hebrew. According to Forbes Ukraine in 2014, she is one of the 10 most influential Ukrainian writers, and in 2013, she was honored with a Medal of Merit for the Polish Culture. She lives in Lviv.
