Miz Jade is a Black-queer drag performance artist known throughout New York City. She has been described as fierce, sensual, sophisticated, and full of surprises. A queen known for her teaching, activism, quick wit, and collaborations with Drag Queen Story Hour, she’s bound to gag you and turn the party. In fall 2018, Miz Jade was featured in the Revry TV documentary Queens of Kings, which takes a raw look at the stimulating and flashy lifestyle of some of Brooklyn’s brightest drag stars. In January 2019 at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust, she collaborated with Puerto Rican composer Angélica Negrón and Dutch director Jorinde Keesmaat to premier the bare bones of the drag opera Chimera, featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race alumn Alexis Michelle and drag kid extraordinaire Desmond Is Amazing.
