Biography

Narges Mohammadi is an Iranian feminist human rights activist and vice president of the Defenders of Human Rights Center headed by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Shirin Ebadi. She has been imprisoned several times since the year 2000 for her activities in defense of women’s rights, human rights, children’s rights, and her opposition to the death penalty. Her recent two-volume book, White Torture, contains interviews with political prisoners about the experience of solitary confinement.
