Oddný Eir’s novel Land of Love and Ruins won the EU Prize for Literature and the Icelandic Women’s Literature Prize. In addition to publishing novels, poetry, and essays, Eir has worked as an art lecturer, gallerist, environmental activist, and has collaborated with musical artist Björk. Eir lives in the Icelandic countryside by the glacier Eyjafjallajökull.
