Romeo Oriogun


Romeo Oriogun is the author of The Origin of Butterflies, selected by Kwame Dawes for the African Poetry Book Fund’s New-Generation African Poets Chapbook Series. His poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Connotation Press, The Dissident Blog, and Brittle Paper. The 2017 winner of the Brunel International African Poetry Prize and the recipient of anEbedi International Writers Residency Fellowship, he is currently a Du Bois Fellow at the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research, an Artist Protection Fund Fellow, and a Scholar at Risk Fellow at Harvard University.
