Silvia Moreno-Garcia is the author of The Daughter of Doctor Moreau and many other novels, including Velvet Was the Night and Mexican Gothic. She has also edited several anthologies, including the World Fantasy Award-winning She Walks in Shadows (Cthulhu’s Daughters).
