Biography

Vahni Capildeo is a Trinidadian-British writer whose books include Measures of Expatriation (Forward Poetry Prizes, best collection; T.S. Eliot Prize, nomination), Simple Complex Shapes, and Utter. Capildeo enjoys cross-genre writing and interdisciplinary collaborations. She most recently created performances based on Hamlet, Euripides’s The Bacchæ, and Guyanese poet Martin Carter. Capildeo writes a regular column for PN Review.
